"For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it. I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions." --Proverbs 8:11-12
Have you ever had a day when everything was perfect and life seemed to be in a state of zen? Wish there could be more days like that.
In actuality there can be. Proverbs 4:18 states, “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more into the perfect day.” Hmm. The “path of the just”; a clue to how the state of zen can be achieved on the regular—by following or staying on the “path of the just”.
Could this mean that by treating business associates, friends and family well—as you would like to be treated; doing what you know to be right; helping when you can; and thinking positively about yourself and neighbor, you would be well on your way?
Perhaps. And it’s well worth the try.
"O Praise the Lord, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people. For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the Lord endureth for ever. Praise ye the Lord." --Psalm 117
"Say unto them, 'As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?" -Ezekiel 33:11
"For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord, and he pondereth all his goings. His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins. He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray." -- Proverbs 5:21-23
